The mission of the Oklahoma Folklife Center is to collect and preserve folklife and traditions of Oklahoma. In addition, the Center encourages communities and organizations to host folklife events and to preserve artifacts representing Oklahoma's cultural diversity.

The Dusk Till Dawn Blues Festival in Rentiesville, Oklahoma pays tribute to the blues by featuring blues performers from all over America and performers from Oklahoma including the young and old.Oklahoma Folks is a journal published on-line only. It is updated periodically. Photo essays are documentations of Oklahoma's folklife. The Oklahoma Folklife Center and "Oklahoma Folks" are part of the Oklahoma Historical Society's effort to collect, preserve, educate, and exhibit Oklahoma's rich and diverse traditions.
