Big Red Truck Day, Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center

On Saturday, September 30, from 11 am to 3 pm the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid will host Big Red Truck Day. This event will showcase several vintage fire trucks that once served Cherokee Outlet communities. Big Red Truck Day is held in conjunction with the museum’s newest temporary exhibit, Firefighting in the Strip, which features artifacts and stories of the early days of fire protection. Firefighting in the Strip will be on display in the J. E. and L. E. Mabee Foundation Gallery through Saturday, November 4. For more information please call 580-237-1907.
