Trappings of the Cherokee Strip exhibit opens, Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center

The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid will host its sixth annual Trappings of the Cherokee Strip exhibit of fine Western art and custom cowboy gear. Trappings opens to the public on Saturday, February 24, and will remain open through Saturday, March 24. The Art and Life of Don Blanding exhibit opens, Chisholm Trail Museum

The Chisholm Trail Museum is opening a temporary exhibit about local artist, author, and potter Don Blanding on Saturday, March 10, from 10 am to 5 pm. Blanding was born in Kingfisher in 1894 and through his travels made his home in Hawaii where he wrote articles for a local newspaper.
