On Thursday, September 29, at 7 p.m. the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center continues its Fall Lecture Series with a presentation by Colonel Charles DeBellevue (retired). The lecture will be held in Gantz Hall on the Northern Oklahoma College campus in Enid.

Colonel DeBellevue was a command pilot with more than 3,000 flying hours, 550 of which were in combat. His military decorations include the Air Force Cross, three Silver Stars, three Legions of Merit, six Distinguished Flying Crosses, three Meritorious Service Medals, eighteen Air Medals, two Air Force Commendation Medals, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm. He retired effective February 1, 1998, with 30 years of service and was the last American Ace on active duty.
