“GEDmatch.com for DNA Analysis” class, Oklahoma History Center
April 21, 1:00 pm–3:00 pm
The Oklahoma Historical Society Research Center and Rose State College will hold a GEDmatch class on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 1 to 3 pm.
GEDmatch is an online tool that enables you to analyze the results of an autosomal DNA test. GEDmatch will help you find matches with persons who tested with a company other than the one you used. Most of the tools on GEDmatch.com are free; tools for analysis of ethnicity are also available. The class will cover the process of downloading your DNA results and uploading them to GEDMatch, and use of the basic analytical tools. Results from a DNA test are not required for class enrollment. Registration is through Rose State College and the class fee is $29.
This class will be held in the Musser Learning Lab, located inside the Research Center on the first floor of the Oklahoma History Center. Transportation by van will be provided for those who request these accommodations by April 2, 2018. Contact the Rose State College Continuing Learning Center Office at 405-733-7392.
