Visit the Museum of the Western Prairie at 7 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2017, for the opening of Oklahoma Pride: The Next 50 Years of Oklahoma Art.

On loan from the Melton Art Reference Library in Oklahoma City, this art exhibition showcases the work of Oklahoma artists in the wake of World War II who took a new look at creative expression and progressive politics. The use of different materials, textures, surfaces, and unconventional elements are represented through painting, printmaking, and sculpture. The exhibit features artwork by Ina Annette, T. C. Cannon, Allan Houser, Willard Stone, Derald Swineford, Doel Reed, and others.

Oklahoma Pride: The Next 50 Years of Oklahoma Art will be on display through October.
