Presentation by Lone Star School author Richard Simunek, Museum of the Western Prairie
April 3, 7:00 pm–8:30 pm
Richard Simunek, author of Lone Star School: Now We Are Going to Be Americans, will review his book at 7 pm on Tuesday, April 3, at the Museum of the Western Prairie.
Lone Star School is a work that began out of memorabilia from Simunek’s father’s one-room schoolhouse in Hennessey, Oklahoma, and became a story about the building of America as a great nation. Simunek will discuss his book and the school that inspired it.
The Museum of the Western Prairie is located at 1100 Memorial Drive in Altus. For more information, please contact Director Jennie Buchanan at 580-482-1044.
