CSRHC Brown Bag: Territorial Governor Seay & Mansion

Territorial Governor Seay & Mansion with Adam Lynn, Director of Chisholm Trail Museum & Seay Mansion, Kingfisher, OK Governor Seay served as second Territorial Governor of Oklahoma from 1892 to 1893. He built a three-story mansion named “Horizon Hill” for approximately $11,000 on fifteen acres of land purchased for $637.50 just outside of Kingfisher, OT. Lantern Tours at Humphrey Heritage Village

It’s time for living history lantern tours at the Humphrey Heritage Village. After dark, visitors to will travel back to the early days after the land run and experience the lives of the 1893 homesteaders. Throughout the historic buildings guests will encounter schoolmarms, land office agents, fine Victorian ladies, homestead families and others along their lantern led tour. Advance Tickets Only $10 per person Tours begin at 7 p.m.

Pioneer Woman Museum with Robbin Davis, Director The Pioneer Woman Museum preserves the legacy of women from all races, creeds and nationalities who have contributed to the development of Oklahoma.
