The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is pleased to host its fifth annual "Trappings of the Cherokee Strip" exhibit of fine Western art and custom cowboy gear. "Trappings" is on display through Saturday, March 25. This invitational show brings together an impressive collection of art and cowboy gear, featuring several of Oklahoma's best Western artists and craftsmen. Chisholm Trail 150 Festival, Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center

The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center in Enid kicks off the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail with a celebration on Saturday, April 1, from 11 am to 3 pm. The Chisholm Trail 150 Festival is a living history festival filled with music, cattle drive games, and reenactments. Attendees can enjoy beans and cornbread for lunch, prepared over an open fire.
