Archaeology Month, Spiro Mounds

October is Archaeology Month! The Spiro Mounds Archaeological Center will hold a special day with a lecture and a guided walk on Saturday, October 15, 2016. An archaeologist from the Oklahoma Archeological Survey will be available to identify artifacts in collections. There will also be a great flintknapper (stone tool maker) showing how to make arrowheads from stone.
