Public Invited to Participate in Oklahoma History Conference

The general public is invited to register to participate in Crossroads of Commerce: The 2014 Oklahoma History Conference, sponsored by the Oklahoma Historical Society. The conference is scheduled for April 23, 24 and 25 in Stillwater.

More than 20 individuals, including historians and people who have made history, will make presentations during the conference. A special reception, a concert featuring Byron Berline, The Red Dirt Rangers and other musicians, two luncheons, a dinner, and a bus tour are among the activities that will be available to attendees.

Conference venues will include the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center on the campus of Oklahoma State University and the Stillwater Community Center.
The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains 32 museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state.
