Oklahoma Historical Society to Celebrate Film Row at 21c Museum Hotel

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Historical Society (OHS) is pleased to present History OffCenter, a new series focused on immersive, engaging experiences. The first event in this series will be Thursday, February 23, at 6 p.m. at 21c Museum Hotel, located at 900 West Main in Oklahoma City. Participants can mingle, drink and enjoy a presentation by Fred Hall of Hall Capital, Graham Colton of The Jones Assembly and Dr. Bob Blackburn of the OHS as they discuss the history and future of the Film Row District. A cash bar will be available. The OHS has partnered with 21c Museum Hotel for this event.

History OffCenter is a new series by the Oklahoma Historical Society. With an emphasis on community outreach, this series will feature programs that are in-depth explorations of neighborhoods, the workings of the OHS and historical eras. Upcoming events include a behind-the-scenes tour of the OHS collections on Thursday, April 13, and a bicycle tour of historic downtown Oklahoma City scheduled for May 2017. History OffCenter is a project of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
