Payne County Historical Society and Sheerar Museum to Receive Awards

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The Payne County Historical Society and the Sheerar Museum of Stillwater History will receive awards from the Oklahoma Historical Society recognizing them as outstanding local organizations preserving and sharing the history of Payne County and Stillwater at the 2014 Oklahoma History Conference. The awards will be presented during the Oklahoma Historical Society's Annual Awards Luncheon on April 25 at the Stillwater Community Center. Other awards pertaining to excellence in preserving state and local history will be presented during the luncheon, and four individuals will be inducted into the Oklahoma Historians Hall of Fame.
