The first priority of the Oklahoma Historical Society is the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff. We stand with our fellow Oklahomans in the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19. We have closed our sites and affiliates to the public through April 16.
In an effort to minimize gatherings, all OHS-sponsored events are canceled or postponed through May 2, and some events have been canceled beyond that date. We are posting all changes on our events calendar to keep you updated as the situation develops.

“Tracing Your Roots” genealogy class *Canceled*

The Oklahoma Historical Society and Rose State College will offer a seven-week class on the basics of genealogy beginning on March 3. This class meets on Tuesdays March 3 through April 21, from 10 a.m. to noon. Class will not meet on March 17 due to spring break.
Students will learn how to search for their heritage online, obtain free resources that are available for research, and access materials at the Oklahoma Historical Society. The class will conclude with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Oklahoma Historical Society Research Center. Learn with us as we take the mystery out of our history and preserve our past for our future!
Registration is through Rose State College and the class fee is $49 for the general public and $39 for seniors. Classes will be held at the Community Learning Center at Rose State College
