The first priority of the Oklahoma Historical Society is the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff. We stand with our fellow Oklahomans in the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19. We have closed our sites and affiliates to the public through April 30.
In an effort to minimize gatherings, all OHS-sponsored events are canceled or postponed through May 2, and some events have been canceled beyond that date. We are posting all changes on our events calendar to keep you updated as the situation develops.

Chuck Wagon Gathering and Dinner
The Chisholm Trail Museum will host a day filled with cowboy fun on Saturday, October 3. Visitors can drop in and see a variety of working chuck wagons from across the region as they prepare some favorite dishes. Free daytime activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will include music, Dutch oven cooking demonstrations, Straka longhorns, gunfights, music and more. The museum will offer a ticketed chuck wagon dinner beginning at 4 p.m. that will include chicken-fried steak, potatoes, biscuits, corn, and cobbler, with live music to accompany the meal. Dinner tickets are available in advance. Tickets are $12 for children ages 5–12 and $20 for adults and children 13 and older. To purchase dinner tickets, please call 405-375-5176.
