February 4, 2017, 1 p.m.4 p.m.

Event Navigation

firstsatOn the first Saturday of each month, the Oklahoma History Center will offer a special Hands-On History program from 1 to 4 pm. Each month the program focuses on a new theme with learning opportunities connected to that theme. The February program will celebrate Black History Month. Activities include making quilt squares and learning about how they were used, and coloring sheets for younger students with inspirational words from African American leaders. Participants can also visit the photo booth and get a photo taken featuring inspirational quotes.

These programs encourage participation in historically based crafts and activities. The activities target children of all ages, but adults are always welcome to participate. First Saturday Hands-on History programs are free with regular museum admission. Please call 405-522-0765 for more information.
