Holiday Market at the Museum, Museum of the Western Prairie

December 6, 2016

Event Navigation

The doors of the Museum of the Western Prairie in Altus will open at 7 pm on Tuesday, December 6, to welcome shoppers to the third annual Holiday Market at the Museum hosted by the board members of the Western Trail Historical Society (WTHS).

The event will showcase the talents of twelve area artists and provide a terrific holiday shopping opportunity for the members of the WTHS as well as the general public. Artists were carefully selected to ensure high quality, wide variety and uniqueness. As an added bonus, while shoppers browse the artists displays, shoppers also will have the opportunity to tour the museum while they browse the artists displays.

This year’s Holiday Market will showcase paintings by Brian Nichols and Sue Messerly from Altus; works in wood by Joe Harkins and Don Proctor from Altus; pottery by Norma Williams from Mangum and Ronald Kuykendall from Petersburg, Texas; welded art and drawings by Laura Gillis from Iowa Park; jewelry by Jerry Foster, formerly from Altus; mosaics by Jenny Perry of Frederick; and more unique works of art.
