Save Our Stuff: Photography, Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum

January 21, 2017, 2 p.m.4 p.m.

Event Navigation

Visit the Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum on Saturday, January 21, to learn about preserving photographs. The Save Our Stuff: Photography class will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm. The class is free and open to the public.

We all have items that we hold dear: family heirlooms, collections of items from our youth, or even everyday items that we simply aren’t sure what to do with. This series of lectures is aimed towards helping people preserve their treasures at home with lessons learned from museum archives.

The Save Our Stuff: Photography class will walk participants through the history of photography as well as the best practices for preserving photographs in their own homes. The class will be taught by Pawnee Bill Ranch staff using the lessons they have learned while working with the Pawnee Bill Ranch photograph collection.

The class will be hands-on and participants are invited to bring their own photographs and ask questions. Refreshments will be provided during a short intermission.
