The Wall That Heals arrives, Oklahoma History Center

The Wall That Heals (TWTH) will arrive at the Oklahoma History Center on Wednesday, November 8, at 11 am escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders and Oklahoma Highway Patrol. A number of Oklahoma City veterans groups will welcome it to the Oklahoma History Center. The Oklahoma City Fire Department will provide two hook and ladder trucks that will have a 50-foot American flag suspended between them under which caravan will proceed. The Wall That HealsThe Wall That Heals. This ceremony is free and open to the public.

The Wall That Heals is a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. It is approximately 250 feet in length and lists the names of the more than 58,000 men and women killed in the war. The names are arranged chronologically by date of casualty, so that those who died together may be forever linked. The Wall That Heals and its accompanying mobile Education Center will be open to the public 24 hours a day until Sunday, November 12, at 2 pm.
