Karl K. Dittmer

Lieutenant Colonel Karl K. Dittmer (1923-2003), a 27-year veteran of the US Air Force, joined the US Army Air Corps and served in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. In World War II he flew 52 combat missions in Europe, 136 in Korea, and was an instructor pilot in Vietnam.

His awards include three Distinguished Flying Crosses, Bronze Star and 20 Air Medals.
