Decorations: Combat Infantry Badge; Order of the Purple Heart awarded posthumously; four Battle Participation Stars in the European Theatre of Operations; Combat Infantry Badge. Graduated froni High School, Kemp, Oklahoma, in May 1939. Engaged in farming before enlistment. Awarded Good Conduct Medal in service. Died December 23; 1944, in action during' 'Battle of the Bulge, , , near Luxembourg, Belgium.
