Altus Bus |

|
|
In the original photograph, the words "Altus Rubber Tire Transfer" can be seen easily on the side of the bus (the wagon on the right). The carriage behind the bus is a cab. Both were operated by George Burkett from his livery stable. Mr Burkett carried passengers between the Hotel Altus (owned by the Fredericks) and the rail station, or to other destinations around town. (By the way, the dark horse with its right flank toward the camera is named "Dandy.") |
