The Winnie Mae Café in the Oklahoma History Center, 2401 N. Laird Avenue, has undergone a remodeling to more reflect a 1930’s aviation motif. The JDY Design Team completed the work just before the December holidays.

Winnie Mae Café now sports a 1930’s aviation theme featuring interpretive table tops, wing counter seating areas, half drum seats, neon signs, newspapers, music, luggage counter, photo printed wall papers, and cooler. A video monitor mounted on what appears to be some lost luggage features aviation newsreels from the 1930’s including film of Wiley Post and his airplane, the Winnie Mae.

The menu remains the same as before, with selections bearing names familiar to Oklahoma history and Oklahoma aviation. The Winnie Mae Café is operated by The Catering Company in Edmond.
