The Oklahoma Higher Education Heritage Society (OHEHS) has announced the appointment of Ms. Stacy Frakes as their new Executive Director effectively immediately.

Ms. Frakes comes to the organization after extensive experiences in higher education as a professor, with marketing and management work in political campaigns, as a former Project Coordinator for the Oklahoma Community Services Commission, service in AmeriCorps VISTA with the Urban League of Central Oklahoma and having served as an Adult Mentor with the Oklahoma Youth Leadership Exchange.

“We are delighted to have Stacy join our organization” said Dr. Linda Mason, President of OHEHS. “She brings a variety of valuable experiences, an understanding of the higher education community, creativity and energy to the position that will serve us well.”

Ms. Frakes will be leading the efforts of the Society Board in continuing the activities of the Higher Education Hall of Fame, the nation’s only State Higher Education Archive, and other activities that seek to protect and preserve the state’s higher education history and heritage while informing citizens of the important role higher education plays in contributing to the state’s quality of life.
