Nomination Period for 2008 Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame Opens

The Oklahoma Higher Education Heritage Society (OHEHS) has announced the opening of the filing period for nominations to the 2008 Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame - the state’s signature higher education event annually.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will be held on October 7 this year in the Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. Nominations will be received via mail, or ‘on line’ from the Society Web Site at www.ohehs.org. Nominations must be received or submitted, postmarked no later than March 14 this year.

Individuals must have ten years of consecutive service at Oklahoma institutions of higher education to be eligible for nomination. The Hall of Fame began in 1994 and has inducted more than one hundred forty individuals since then.
