Winners Announced in the Oklahoma Historical Society Student Photography Contest

The Oklahoma Historical Society has announced the winners of this year's Student Photography Contest. The contest was open to students grades 1-5, 6-8 and 9-12. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes were awarded in each category.

This year's theme was Oklahoma Focus. We received over 120 entries from across the state. All entries and winning photographs can be viewed online on the OHS Kids! section of the OHS website at www.okhistory.org/kids/contests.html.

The winners are:

1st - 5th Grade
1st - Caleb Skouby - Age 7 - Perry
2nd - Annie Bragg - Age 9 - Norman
3rd - Aurora Buss - Age 9 - McAlester

6th - 8th Grade
Makayla Owings - Age 12 - Broken Arrow
Aaron Sharp - Age 14 - Stillwater
Meredythe Olsen - Age 14 - Tulsa

9th - 12th Grade
Julie Bragg - Age 17 - Norman
Stacy - Age 16 (Last name and hometown withheld at request of parent)
Colton - Age 15 (Last name and hometown withheld at request of parent)

OHS Kids! offers kid-friendly information and activities pertaining to Oklahoma. Annual contests include an art contest in the fall and a photography contest each spring.
