Oklahoma History Center and Oklahoma Folklife Council Ask "What's For Supper?"

The Oklahoma History Center and the Oklahoma Folklife Council offer an invitation to "What's for Supper?" an evening celebrating the roots of Oklahoma families through music, stories, traditional foods, beers & wines. The event will be held Thursday October 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma History Center 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive.
Supper will be provided by a variety of local restaurants:
Adobe Grill (Mexican), Golden Phoenix (Chinese and Vietnamese), Sean Cummings Irish Pub (Irish), Carican (Caribbean from Grenada and Trinidad), Ned's Catering (Lebanese), Old Germany (German), Panaderia La Herradura (Mexican pastries), La Baguette (French pastries), American Indian foods by Loretta Oden.
This year's special guest chef will be Loretta Oden.Loretta produces a television series for PBS entitled "Seasoned With Spirit, a Native Cook's Journey" which features Native American food traditions. Chef Oden is a Citizen Pottawatomi who grew up in Oklahoma.
The event will feature entertainment by a number of local performers including:
Bagpipes (John Imes), Scot and Irish dancing (Hill School of Irish Dance), Western Swing and Cowboy (Sons of the Sage), Mexican (Mariachi Orugllo), Mexican dancing (Hope Alvarez), American, Celtic, Middle Eastern music (Dustin Cooper), Native American flute (D. J. Battist-Tomasi).
Assigned seating is $50, reserved tables $1000. Dress is traditional or business casual. To RSVP call (405) 522-3602.
