The Research Center at the Oklahoma History Center, 2401 North Laird Avenue, Oklahoma City, is celebrating October as Family History Month again this year with three Lunch & Learn Lectures and one daylong American Indian Research Workshop. The Research Center is also holding a book sale at the end of the month. Participants are asked to register for programs in advance by calling the Research Center at 405-522-5225 or registration forms are available on the website: www.okhistory.org/research/forms/registration2009.pdf.
Here is the schedule of lectures and events for Family History Month:
Lunch & Learn Lecture: Oklahoma Resources at the Metro Library
Wednesday October 7 from 11:30am to 1:00pm $10, lunch included Explore the resources of the Metro Library's Oklahoma Room with librarian Larry "Buddy"

Lunch & Learn Lecture: Heraldry
Wednesday October 14 from 11:30am to 1:00pm $10, lunch included Learn about heraldry with Frankia Story.
American Indian Research Workshop
Saturday October 17 from 9:30am to 4:00pm Registration is $40. Lunch is included.

Research Center Book Sale
The OHS Research Division Book sale will be held October 29-31 from 10am to 5pm at the Oklahoma History Center. The sale includes historical and genealogical books, microfilm, periodicals and more!
