Oklahoma History Center Open Day After Thanksgiving

Oklahoma History Center Open Friday November 23rd

Take a break from the Thanksgiving Holiday by bringing the family to the Oklahoma History Center Friday November 23rd and learn about our state during our centennial celebration. The Oklahoma History Center is located at 2401 N. Laird Avenue, just east of the State Capitol on N.E. 23rd Street. The center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will be open Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The featured exhibit is also the Oklahoma History Center’s premier Centennial exhibit Inspired to Lead: First Families of Oklahoma. The exhibit focuses on what led each governor to run for the state’s highest office and features artifacts from each of Oklahoma’s governors. In addition, the exhibit includes a number of gowns worn by First ladies to their husbands inaugural balls.

The Oklahoma History Center is open Monday thru Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from Noon to 5:00 p.m. Admission to the Oklahoma History Center is: Adults - $5, seniors (age 62 +) $4, students - $3, children five and under are admitted free. The Oklahoma History Center features a special family rate of $15 per family. Annual memberships are also available.
