The Oklahoma Historical Society maintains an active publications program. It includes the OHS's scholarly journal, the Chronicles of Oklahoma, its newsletter, Mistletoe Leaves, and a number of books and research guides.
The Encyclopedia of Oklahoma History & Culture includes more than 2,500 entries exploring the rich history of Oklahoma. A two-volume print version of the encyclopedia is also available.
First issued in 1921 as the official journal of the OHS, the Chronicles of Oklahoma is mailed to members and subscribers quarterly. Each issue contains scholarly articles, book reviews, and notes and documents.
