Monogrammed Brick Stories

Frank Cunningham

Submitted by Cindy Cunningham

Frank Cunningham came to OKC as commander of the USAF recruiting detachment, then retired and stayed here 37 years.

Dad was very involved at church - as a leader, teacher, and committed member. He was one of several who started a Christian, private school. He worked for Dayton Tire & Rubber Co., and later taught some classes. After retiring, he rediscovered a passion for art, and was honored to display paintings at the Oklahoma Art Gallery.

Dad was so proud of Oklahoma! He was an avid OSU fan and would have loved their 2011-2012 football season.
His Oklahoma roots started before he moved here - his grandmother grew up at an Indian girl's orphanage in Tahlequah. Isn't it interesting how life can bring you back to the beginning?
