Ollie & Maggie Gossin Gray

Margaret Gossin born in 1863 in Marysville, KS, and homesteaded a farm west of Britton, OK, in 1889. She was the teacher in the first school in Britton. Jacob Oliver Gray, born in 1871 in Nashville, IN, made the run to Oklahoma with his parents in 1889. "Ollie" and "Maggie" were married in 1892. They had six children: Mary, Rosella, John, Theodore, Walter, and William. Jacob died in 1929. Maggie Gray and some of her family lived on the homestead land until it became a part of Lake Hefner. Maggie died in 1940.
