A 1950 Classen graduate contracted polio in Sep 1951 and placed in an iron lung. With her determination she was able to come out. The Tulsa World newspaper heard her story & presented her with an electric typewriter to write an article on Will Rogers. Thus began her career. She wrote articles, short stories, published a family genealogical book, took on watercolor painting & pencil art. Her parents gave her unselfish love, care & devotion throughout her life. She died 30 Jun 1976.
