Submitted by Alice Sade Thomas

Franklin & Irena Sade made the run of April 22, 1889 in a wagon with 4 children and another on the way. 7 more children followed and all but 1 lived to old age. The "Sade Place" farm was in the family for over 100 years. On May 17, 1991 it was recognized as an Oklahoma Centennial Farm. Franklin died in 1916 & Irena in 1945. Oil was discovered on the farm & Irena built a house in Lovell with royalty checks where she enjoyed her 11 children & 33 grandchildren. The family has a Thanksgiving reunion each year.
