William Henry Trotter was born 21 May 1927 in Carnegie, OK, to Golden & Elsie Thiesen Trotter. He served in the Navy in WWII. In 1948 he enlisted in the Army. He had his own business, Trotter's Tire & Mag Wheels. Bill married Helen Horne on 17 Jan 1948. Helen is the daughter of Jim & Opal Horne. Helen taught in the Lawton Public Schools & was principal of Westwood Elementary. Bill & Helen had 2 children, William John Trotter who died in 1988 and Linda Louise Trotter.
