Genealogy & Research Requests
The Research Center offers a research service to patrons seeking information about a particular person, topic or event.
Research fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable. Once the request and fee have been received, staff will search for the requested item and make copies of relevant materials.

Submit a Research Request
Order by Mail or submit your order online. Patrons ordering online must first set up an account through the online Gift Shop. Please note that online orders will charged an additional $5 fee for using the online service.
When requesting genealogical information please be as specific as possible. Include names, dates and locations. Even an estimate is helpful if the exact date is unknown. Please indicate information you have already located so we can better direct our search. If for example you have already located the individual in specific census, indicate that in your request. Please do not send original documents or photos with your request.
Express Orders Available
The Research Center now offers a census, obituary and marriage record express. To use this service you must provide the names, dates and other information requested on the form.
Records available through the express service include:
Census: US Federal Census 1790-1930 and the 1890 OK Territorial Census. Must provide name, year and page number.
Marriages: Only records listed in the Oklahoma County marriage records database or Choctaw-Chickasaw marriages listed in Mary Kindard's online index available at OKGenWeb. Must provide name(s), date and county.

Select American Indian packets are now $30. Researchers may order Guion Miller, 1896 Applications or Dawes Final Roll Packets for a flat fee of $30. Researchers must provide complete information including application or census card number and the individual's name and tribe. To submit your order use the printable packet order form.
