1896 Applications for Enrollment

This enrollment was created prior to the Dawes Final Roll. The 1896 Applications for Enrollment were an attempt to determine citizenship within the Five Tribes. For various reasons these records were disregarded and the Dawes Final Rolls became the final resource for determining eligibility for citizenship.
