NOTICE
NEW SHPO POLICY FOR SHIPPING TAX APPLICATIONS (HPCAs) TO NPS

The Oklahoma State Historic Preservation Office ships all Historic Preservation Certification Application (HPCA) Parts 1, 2, 3, amendments, and related materials to the National Park Service, Washington, D.C., via Federal Express for delivery within two business days. Due to the processing and internal routing of mail, this is the only way to track delivery to and guarantee timely receipt of these important materials by NPS.

Effective July 1, 2016, applicants must cover all Federal Express charges incurred by the SHPO for submission of HPCAs for their rehabilitation projects. Applicants shall either:

  1. Provide the SHPO with a Federal Express shipping label with the applicant's account number printed on it. The SHPO shall use the label to ship the package to NPS; or

  2. Promptly reimburse the SHPO for the Federal Express charges. The SHPO shall invoice the applicant immediately for the Federal Express charges incurred, and the applicant shall provide payment to the SHPO within thirty (30) days of receipt of the invoice.
