Cost: $3 per student
This program educates grade school students on the experiences, difficulties, and choices faced by the Oklahoma pioneers. Students personally experience the disappointments and triumphs of the land run through a fun, fast-paced interactive board game, played by groups of up to forty students.
Kate Barnard: In Her Own Words
Time Requirement: one hour
Grades: 7–12
Size limit: forty students (fifteen students minimum)
Cost: $3 per student
This interactive lecture program allows students to learn about Kate Barnard, Oklahoma’s first female elected official. Topics include Progressive Era themes such as child labor, prison reform, care for the poor, and education.
Scavenger Hunt
Time requirement: one hour
Grades: K–12
Size limit: seventy students
Cost: $3 per student
This program allows students to search exhibits looking for key historical facts and themes. After the search through the museum, discussions will take place with a docent or staff member.
