Oklahoma History Center to Celebrate Museum Day Live! on September 24

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma History Center will open its doors free of charge on Saturday, September 24, 2016, as part of Smithsonian Magazine’s 11th annual Museum Day Live! On this day only, participating museums across the United States emulate the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, D.C.-based facilities, which offer free admission every day. On September 24 the History Center will open its doors for free to those who download a Museum Day Live! ticket. Each Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people. The ticket must be presented for free admission, with mobile redemption also accepted. Visit www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/museum-day-live-2016/ to download your official ticket.

The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state.
