Military Day at Fort Towson Historic Site on November 11

FORT TOWSON, Okla. — Fort Towson Historic Site will host Military Day on November 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will show the public the military aspects of the fort and teach visitors the historical importance of the fort. The sutler’s shop will be open for visitors to learn the importance of trade to both the civilians and soldiers at the fort. There will be demonstrations of military maneuvers, and the fort’s artillery piece will be fired several times throughout the day.
