Drummond Home Ice Cream Social

HOMINY, Okla. — The Friends of the Fred Drummond Home are happy to announce that the annual Ice Cream Social will be held Saturday, July 14, beginning at noon and lasting until 4 p.m. As part of the event, visitors also can enjoy the Drummond Heirloom Exhibit, a display of artifacts usually kept in storage, and storytellers stationed throughout the house to relate the history of the family and customs of the early 1900s.

There will be the usual admission fee of $7 for adults, $5 for seniors ages 62 and older, $4 for students ages 6 to 18 years, free for children ages 6 and under, and free for all veterans and active military with ID. We also have a group rate of $5 each for groups of 10 visitors or more.

The Fred Drummond Home is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people.
