Deck the Halls, Oklahoma History Center

December 9, 2017, 10 a.m.12 p.m.

Event Navigation

The Oklahoma History Center will host Deck the Halls on Saturday, December 9, from 10 am to noon. Patrons will enjoy holiday music played on the Oklahoma History Center’s famous Kilgen Organ while participating in holiday-themed activities. The event is free with paid admission to the museum.

This program has gained immense popularity over those years as a holiday event for the entire family. New this year will be a performance by Luke Staisiunas, a University of Oklahoma student and a staff member of the American Organ Institute. He will be playing a selection of Christmas carols and traditional seasonal music on the historic Kilgen Organ. The History Center Education Department will offer crafts and other activities that promise to enhance the spirit of the season.

On December 8 and 9, shoppers will save on a great selection of Made in Oklahoma products and other items that celebrate the history and culture of our great state. Access to the Museum Store is free to the public. Holiday shoppers will receive 10 percent off regularly priced items during the sale, and Oklahoma Historical Society members will receive 25 percent off regularly priced merchandise. There are also many marked-down items that make great gifts for those hard-to-shop-for friends and family. Please contact the Museum Store at 405-522-0765 with any questions about the Deck the Halls event or Museum Store sale.
