Smithsonian magazine’s annual Museum Day
Multiple Oklahoma Historical Society museums and sites will participate in Smithsonian magazine’s annual Museum Day on Saturday, September 21. On this day only, participating museums across the United States emulate the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington, DC-based facilities, which offer free admission every day. Museum Day is a one-day event in which participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day ticket. Participants are allowed to download one ticket per email address. The ticket provides free general admission on Saturday, September 21, 2019, for two people.
OHS sites currently participating include Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore, Pawnee Bill Ranch and Museum in Pawnee, and the Oklahoma History Center and Henry Overholser Mansion, both located in Oklahoma City. To download your ticket or learn about other participants, please visit the Museum Day webpage.
