Every third Saturday of the month, from 1 to 3 p.m., the Will Rogers Memorial Museum invites the public and car enthusiasts to bring antique, vintage, and classic cars to the Museum! At every “Tin Lizzies” and Classics gathering, a people’s choice vote will be held to select a favorite vehicle amidst the group.
On May 26, 1927, Henry Ford ceased production of the Model T, at the time of the most popular car in the world. Fifteen million “Tin Lizzies” had been sold since production started in 1908, the basic model for as little as $260.
Did you know? Five weeks after the last Model T left the factory, Will Rogers offered $500 to the first Ford car that traveled non-stop from Claremore to California.
