On Tuesday, November 18, at 7 p.m., the Museum of the Western Prairie is partnering with the staff at the Fort Gibson Historic Site to present a program about \u201cWinter Traditions and Cheer.\u201d<\/p>\n
Guests are invited to attend a presentation that shares how soldiers at Fort Gibson, who were separated from their families during the holiday season, found small ways to celebrate and keep meaningful traditions alive while carrying out their duties in the coldest months at the frontier military post. Living history interpreters from the Fort Gibson Historic Site will present the program.<\/p>\n
The Western Trail Historical Society hosts this
