Stanley F.H. Newman

Major General Stanley F.H. Newman enlisted into the US Army Air Corps, in 1942, and became a pilot. He flew 57 missions in P-51s while in the Ninth US Army Air Forces, in Europe. After World War II, he joined the Oklahoma Air National Guard.

His career includes service in Korea and Vietnam. His awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, Meritorious Service Medal and 14 Air Medals.
