Norman Lamb

Colonel Norman Lamb is a native of Canute, Oklahoma, and a graduate of Enid High School and the University of Oklahoma School of Law. In addition to his private law practice, he has taught mathematics and history, and has served as football coach at Enid High School.

His military career spanned 33 years of active duty, reserve and National Guard service. Among other assignments, he served as Oklahoma liaison officer to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

In his outstanding governmental career, he served as Assistant County Commissioner in Chickasha, Assistant Municipal Counselor in Oklahoma City, Chief Prosecutor and Assistant District Attorney for Garfield County, and 18 years in the Oklahoma State Senate, including three years as its Minority Floor Leader.

For the past twelve years he has served as Oklahoma's Secretary of Veterans Affairs under two governors. He played an important role in bringing together the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Oklahoma Veterans Council.
