George Haralson began his law enforcement career in 1973 when he joined the Joplin Police Department. In 1975 he joined the Tulsa Police Department where his 23-year career included undercover investigations in vice, narcotics, and organized crime. He created an innovative and proactive nationwide program to investigate pedophiles and sexual exploitation of children. He retired from the Tulsa Police Department in 1998 and joined the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office where he served as captain and watch commander. In 2011 Haralson was named the chief of police for the Miami Police Department. In 2015 he was hired as an investigator with the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry.
