Dr. DeWade Langley started his law enforcement career in 1971 as a deputy for the Custer County Sheriff’s Office. After he received a college degree in criminal justice, he began a career as a special agent for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. In 1990 he was promoted to deputy director, and in 1995 he was appointed as the 27th director of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. He now serves as the director of the School of Criminal Justice for the University of Central Oklahoma.
