The grandniece of the legendary Will Rogers, Doris Meyer, “Coke” to friends, waited until she was in her nineties to jumpstart her writing career. Her goal was simple: she wanted to provide a more personal glimpse into the life of America’s favorite son. In I Called Him Uncle Will (2012), she does just that, sharing family anecdotes that show how humble and caring her uncle could be.
